Back and freer than ever!

December was definitely a pretty great month for free stuff - Christmas tree lightings, ice-skating, holiday concerts. And not to forget the best free stuff of all - loading up with Christmas presents, food and clean laundry at your parent's house.

Here's some ways to help you keep your New Year's resolution of saving money:

Open House at the MFA Monday 10AM-5PM

Now that the new wing is open the MFA is they're charging an arm and a leg to get in ($21), but luckily there's still free days like tomorrow! In honor of Martin Luther King Day, the Museum of Fine Arts will be open all day for free and the schedule is chock-full of special tours and concerts.

Free concert at Faneuil Hall to celebrate everyone having the day off and MLK. The Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra will present classical music, spirituals and freedom songs. If you, like me don't have the day off and work down-town, swing on by on your lunch hour.

All this and more on the Beantownonthecheap Calendar.
